Safety file
Each project's safety file, built from the design and the team.
Tempify already makes the scaffold drawing, calculations, procedures, handover certificate, checklist and inspection register. The safety file adds your people: a profile for every employee with their competency and medical certificates, risk assessments and appointment letters written from the design, signed on a phone, and kept up to date until the scaffold comes down.
Safety file isn't available yet. It will be a separate product you can add to your Tempify account, working with your scaffold designs.
Already made by Tempify for every scaffold tower
Under each project's Paperwork, printed or saved as PDF. The safety file will file these automatically.

How it will work
A project's safety file, built from the design and the team
The scaffold design already knows the height, load class, ties, ground, wind and procedures. Add who is on the team, and Tempify puts the safety file together, checks that nobody is missing a certificate, and keeps it up to date until the scaffold comes down.
- 1Live
Design the scaffold
Drawing, calculations and procedures, made in Tempify.
- 2
Pick the team
From your employee profiles: erectors, team leader, inspector.
- 3
Tempify checks everyone
Valid competency for their role, medical certificate and induction. Gaps are flagged before anyone gets to site.
- 4
Documents are made
Risk assessment, method statement, fall protection plan and appointment letters, filled in from the design and the team.
- 5
Signed on site
Each person signs on their phone, with the date, time and place recorded.
- 6
Kept up to date
Inspections, tags and expiry reminders. A design change starts a new revision to sign.
- 7
Handed over
One indexed PDF, or a read-only link for the client, principal contractor or inspector.
The project file
Everything the principal contractor and inspector ask for, in one place
Sorted the way a safety file is audited, with what's missing and what's about to expire shown at a glance. Download it as one indexed PDF, or share a read-only link.
People
A profile for every employee, with their certificates
Competency certificates, medical certificates, appointments, sites and PPE for each person, uploaded once and used on every project. Tempify warns you before anything expires, and won't put someone on a team they aren't qualified for.
Documents
Risk assessments and appointment letters, written for you
The risk assessment comes from this scaffold's own design: its height, ground, excavations, wind and ties, not a generic template. Appointment letters are filled in with the person, project and drawing, and signed on a phone.
On site
Reminders before things lapse, and a tag anyone can scan
Expiring certificates, due inspections and design changes come to you. Each scaffold gets a tag with a code: scan it to see if it's safe to use, who inspected it last, and to do the next inspection on the spot.
Privacy and security
Built for sensitive company and employee records
Medical records kept private
Medical certificates are special personal information under POPIA. Only the people you allow can open them, and every view is logged.
Stored in South Africa
Your company's data will be kept in a South African data centre (Cape Town).
Roles and permissions
Safety officers, supervisors and employees each see only what their role needs. Employees see their own profile and documents.
Nothing lost, nothing changed
Signed documents are locked. A change makes a new revision, and the old one stays in the file's history.
The example screens use made-up people, companies and certificates. The finished product may look different.
